Have you watched Ghostbusters as a kid? Maybe you wanted to have such a job when you grow up? Then you will definitely enjoy playing Phasmophobia! The protagonists of Phasmophobia are researchers of the paranormal. The ultimate goal of each of their missions is one – to determine the type of ghost that lives in the room. For this, the team purchases the necessary equipment, travels to the site and begins the search process, while trying not to fall into the clutches of a bloodthirsty spirit.
The process of exploring the paranormal in Phasmophobia has turned out to be quite inventive and interesting. The player’s journal contains information about all existing types of ghosts (there are 12 in total) with a description of the characteristics, habits and ways of interacting with them. For example, if the temperature in the room gets too low, and the character has steam from his mouth, then you should rather look into the magazine and find out which of the spirits likes to “play with freezing” – the Phantom or Mara will immediately be among the suspects. During the mission, gamers must find three clues, compare them with the available information in the magazine and make an assumption. If it turns out to be correct, the task can be considered completed. If not, the team will be left without a reward.
In addition to the main mission of finding a ghost, Phasmophobia randomly creates additional ones for players: witness a paranormal, take a photo of a spirit, or use an Ouija board. For completing each of them, the team receives a bonus reward, which can be spent on useful equipment between missions.
So, one player should always keep an EMF sensor with him, another – a thermometer, and the third – a voice recorder. With the help of these items, you can determine the location of the ghost and make the first assumptions about what type it belongs to. At the same time, do not forget about video cameras, “protective” equipment (such as crucifixes or salt) and a camera that will help fix all the finds. It is worth noting that one of the most important roles in Phasmophobia will go to the player who decides to stay in the van and coordinate the actions of the rest of the team. He will have access to the image from all video cameras, to the indicators of various sensors and to information about the level of sanity of a friend. If at some point one of the characters goes crazy, the ghost will instantly want to feast on his flesh! Be careful!
